American Royal Plans First Golf Tournament
Tournament proceeds to benefit American Royal scholarships and mission
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 15, 2024) – The American Royal is hosting its first golf tournament in support of its scholarships and mission to be the nation’s leader for food and agriculture education, events and engagement. The tournament, planned for Tuesday, September 3, will be held at the Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
“The first American Royal Golf Tournament promises an exciting day of friendly competition and camaraderie alongside our supporters, partners and other business leaders around the Kansas City community,” said Jackie McClaskey, American Royal president. “Oakwood Country Club is a beautiful course. Last year, it was named one of the top three transformed golf courses in America by Golf Digest.”
The golf tournament is a part of the American Royal’s 125th anniversary celebration, honoring its evolution from a single livestock show to a comprehensive season of food and agriculture events with a yearlong impact. Registration for the tournament includes a four-person scramble play, welcome package, barbecue lunch and beverages. Prizes will be awarded to top teams, and a raffle and silent auction will accompany the event.
The field will be limited to 30 teams but sponsorships, including teams, are still available. For more information, visit americanroyal.com.
