FFA Day

National Ag Challenge

The National Ag Challenge is a competition between FFA students to test their knowledge and skills on Identification, Electrical and Precision components on Friday, February 20th. Approximately 100 students from Kansas and Missouri compete in teams of four during FFA Day to showcase their skills!

Details:

  • A maximum of 120 students allowed to participate. If you register after we have fulfilled our quota, your registration will be kept on a waiting list in case a school cancels and you will be contacted accordingly.
  • Schools compete in teams of 4 students, limited to 1 team per school, unless space is available. Please be 100% committed to participating, since space is limited, and there is high interest in participation. Notification of cancellation is appreciated to offer participation to another FFA School.

FFA Day Educational Workshops & Contest Schedule: 

9:30-10:00 AM: Welcome Session

  • Hear from Kansas FFA State Officers to officially kick off FFA Day at the Western Farm Show!

10:30-11:00 AM: Nurturing Executive Functioning Skills

  • This workshop helps high school students strengthen essential executive function skills, such as organization, time management, and self-regulation, that may have been disrupted during COVID-related learning gaps. Through hands-on activities and practical strategies, students will build the tools they need to succeed academically and personally.

11:10 AM-12:15 PM: Equine Skillathon

  • Test your knowledge on horses! Compete against peers to learn more about equine industry.

12:30-1:00 PM: Closing Session

  • Hear from past Missouri State FFA Officers to close out FFA Day at the Western Farm Show!

2:00-2:30 PM: National Ag Challenge Event Awards Ceremony

  • Help us recognize FFA members’ achievements in the National Ag Challenge! Please limit attendance to teams and their chapters.
