BBQ Judging Opportunities
Love BBQ? Want to be part of the action? We’re looking for enthusiastic and qualified individuals to join us as judges or table captains at our 2026 contests! Judge applications are located on the KCBS portal.
Here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
- All applications must be submitted online. We’re not able to accept applications via email or phone.
- Submitting an application doesn’t guarantee a spot, but we’ll confirm as many as possible based on the number of competing teams.
- Judges cannot judge both the Kids Que and the Sides contest, as these take place at the same time. Please choose just one.
- Any certified judge is welcome to apply to judge the Invitational; however, first priority will be given to those who judged in 2025.
- Judge confirmations will begin in July, and details and directions will be sent out later this summer
- Each judge must have their own unique email address—no sharing, please!
