When is the livestock show? What about JPLA?
- The livestock show will run October 9–25. JPLA will take place on October 17.
Where is the new facility located?
- The new American Royal facility is located at State Avenue and 118th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, just northwest of Kansas Speedway.
- The campus sits on about 80 acres east of 118th Street. The permanent address will be 1899 American Royal Way. The temporary construction address is 11602 State Avenue.
Will there be any schedule changes this year?
- The overall structure will feel familiar. Until the new arenas are fully complete, we’re sticking with the format exhibitors know:
- Week 1: Breeding cattle shows
- Week 2: Junior market shows
- Week 3: Breeding cattle shows
When will entries open and close?
- DNA Validation
- DNA will open: July 1
- DNA deadline: August 15

Will space or stalling be limited?
Will the shows be held in a climate-controlled arena?
- Yes. The barn is fully climate controlled. One barn will be used as the show arena in 2026.
What will tie-outs be like?
- Tie-outs will be set up in a designated parking lot area. They will not be permanent setups.
Will fall field trips be held this year? When and where?
- Fall field trips were discontinued in 2025 and will not be returning this year.
