Equine Judging Clinic

Come enhance your equine evaluation skills at the American Royal Equine Judging Clinic!

This clinic will teach participants the basics of equine evaluation and how to assess muscle, balance, structure, breed characteristics, quality, and refinement. This clinic will begin with an overview of equine judging and then move out to Scott Pavilion to evaluate live classes. We look forward look forward to seeing you there. This clinic is free to attend.

Junior Judging

November 20 | 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The purpose of this program is to educate youth participants to understand classes and show procedures, conduct and the priorities of class specifications for judging the American Saddlebred horse.

The American Royal is partnering with the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association to host this event.

  • Juniors must be under the age of 21
  • Contestants must judge a minimum of four classes, but no more than six classes
  • Minimum of four entries per class
