Boysen Wins Swine Showmanship

The bleachers were full as spectators watched more than 200 exhibitors in the Swine Showmanship competition this morning. Judge Steve Rodibaugh sorted the showmen and selected 18-year-old Kale Boysen of Morning Sun, Iowa, for Overall Grand Champion Showman. Then, Rodibaugh made his way to 15-year-old Shelby Weinrich of Willows, California, to select her for Overall Reserve Champion Showman.
Boysen was the senior division champion, and Weinrich was the intermediate division champion. Also, 12-year-old Brody Nemecek of Iola, Kansas, was the junior division champion.
