KANSAS CITY — Ken Geuns of Bath, Mich., sorted the Junior Simmental and Percentage Simmental Shows on Nov. 2.

Simmental Purebred Heifer Show

TJR Maid With Pride, shown by Grace Greiman of Goodell, Iowa, was named the Grand Champion Purebred Heifer. She is a March 5, 2012, daughter of JF American Pride 0987X and was first named Champion Purebred Senior Heifer. The Reserve Grand Champion Heifer, Lazy H/Adkins Blkstar Z61, is owned by Anna Maulsby of College Station, Texas. She was born March 7, 2012, and is a daughter of SVF/NJC Built Right N48. She was named Reserve Champion Purebred Senior Heifer earlier in the day.

RS&T Ms. Grand 511A, led by Brendan McKnight of Savannah, Mo., was awarded Champion Purebred Junior Heifer Calf. She was born on Feb. 26, 2013, and is a daughter of AJE/PB Montecito 63W. CLOUD Upgrade Girl 403A, shown by Kaitlyn Cloud of Carthage, Mo., was awarded reserve in the same division. She is a daughter of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676 and was  born March 15, 2013.

Champion Senior Heifer Calf, SA/SC Jewel’s Faith Z123 was exhibited by Sydni Akey of Kansas City, Mo. She was born Sept. 15, 2012, and is a daughter of SS/PRS High Voltage 244X. The Reserve Champion Senior Heifer Calf title went to LLSF Slingin Dreams Z20, shown by Lillie Colbert of Columbia, Mo. She is a daughter of SS/PRS Gunslinger 824X and was born Oct. 2, 2012.

The Champion Junior Heifer was awarded to WF Jenny Z300, a June 12, 2012, daughter of WLE Tonic U49, exhibited by Mark Moriondo of Mount Vernon, Mo.

Simmental Percentage Heifer Show

The Grand Champion Percentage Heifer, SFI Queen Heidi, a Sept. 2, 2012, daugher of CCCO Unlocked Majic, was exhibited by Shilo Schaake of Westmoreland, Kan. This female was first named Champion Percentage Senior Heifer Calf. Colton Kleinschmidt of Sutton, Neb., exhibited the Reserve Champion Percentage Heifer. This female, Z4FL, is a daughter of Vandes T714 of Mag, and was born April 1, 2012. She was first named Champion Percentage Junior Heifer.

The Champion Percentage Junior Heifer Calf, PFK Maxie’s Image 94A, is a March 4, 2013, daughter of TJ Sharper Image 809U. She was exhibited by Autumn Scheiderer of Irwin, Ohio. The reserve honors went to GGPF Burtie Sue A100, exhibited by Gibson Priest of Weatherford, Texas. This female is a Jan. 2, 2013, daughter of RRJS Steel Force 061U.

Joel Butler of Republic, Mo., exhibited the Reserve Champion Percentage Senior Heifer Calf. This female, GILLIG Up Gradie 2Z, was born Sept. 24, 2012, and is sired by Mr NLC Upgrade U8676. A May 15, 2012, daughter of Monopoly, GFF Z71, was exhibited by Mikayla Storck of Concordia, Mo., and took the title of Reserve Champion Percentage Junior Heifer.

Landon Siek of Blairstown, Iowa, exhibited the Champion Percentage Senior Heifer. This female, RSF Ellie 792Z, is sired by SVF Steel Force S701 and was born Feb. 20, 2012. Kennedy Wohlford of Geneva, Iowa, exhibited the Reserve Champion Percentage Senior Heifer. This female, RSF Ferrini 41Z, is a March 12, 2012, daughter of SVF Steel Force S701.
