Ladies of the American Royal Hereford Sale was a success

The Ladies of the American Royal Hereford Sale just ended! The sale grossed $188,775 over 33 lots. Nineteen-head of heifers averaged $6,605, two steers averaged $1,500, five bred heifers averaged $6,140, two flushes averaged $8,300, nine embryos averaged $1,067 per embryo and one lot of three straws of semen sold for $250 per straw.

To begin the sale, the American Hereford Association auctioned off a street sign to benefit the National Junior Hereford Association which brought $2,600. The high selling heifer, consigned by Purple Reign Cattle Company, sold for $19,500. Purple Reign Cattle Company also consigned the high selling steer that sold for $2,000. The high selling bred heifer, from GLM Herefords, brought $9,500 while the high selling flush, consigned by Pierce’s Hereford Haven, sold for $10,500. The high selling lot of three frozen embryos, from Iron Lake Ranch, brought $1,000 per embryo.

Purple Delta 59A ET consigned by Purple Reign Cattle Company was the high selling lot at $19,500.
