Charolais Breeders Classic brings seedstock producers to American Royal

KANSAS CITY—More than 30 Charolais breeders form across the nation gathered to participate in the Royal Breeders Bull Classic Saturday, Nov. 2, at the American Royal.

The Grand Champion Bull was WC CCC Devil’s Cut 3444 P, nominated by Wright Charolais and Cody Cattle Co., both of Richmond, Mo. This bull was born Feb. 14, 2013, and was sired by LT-WC Templeton 1483 Pld. The Grand Champion Bull received $5,000.

JAB Chief 301 Polled, nominated by J&A Charolais of Sparta, Wisc., was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Bull. He was born Jan. 2, 2013, and was sired by Raile 2250 T077. He received $2,500.

Foglesong Charolais of Ipava, Ill., nominated the third overall bull, AF Burn Doctor D61. He was born Feb. 12, 2013, and was sired by TR Mr Fire Water 5792R. The third overall bull was awarded $1,500.

The fourth overall bull selected was AML Ghost Rider 210, nominated by AM Livestock of Nixa, Mo., and Oliver Livestock of Union City, Tenn. This bull was sired by Hoodoo Slasher 1144 and was born on Sept. 27, 2012. This bull received $500.

HF Ignite 1310 P was the fifth overall bull, receiving $500. He was nominated by Hankins Farms of Willard, Mo. The bull was born March 28, 2013, and was sired by B3 Wyoming Cowboy T752.
