KANSAS CITY – Shane Bedwell evaluated the Purebred and Percentage Simmental bulls at the American Royal on Nov. 2, 2013.

Purebred Simmental Bulls

SVJ Lizzie’s Power Y32 claimed Grand Champion Purebred Bull for SVJ Farm of Amity, Penn. The Feb. 27, 2011 son of BMR Explorer first won Champion Senior Bull. CMFM Milemarker 185Z was awarded Reserve Grand Champion Purebred Bull honors for Circle M Farms of Rockwall, Texas. The Oct. 25, 2012 son of JF Milestone 999W first claimed Champion Senior Bull Calf.

In the Spring Bull Calf Division, Cloud Midnight Train was awarded champion honors for Kara Cloud of Carthage, Mo. He is a March 15, 2013 son of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676.

The Champion Junior Bull Calf title was awarded to SVJ One and Only A111. The Jan. 5, 2013 son of CLRWTR Shock Force W94C was exhibited by SVJ Farm of Amity, Penn. The Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf title was awarded to MSC Pork Chop A330 SJW. The Feb. 18, 2013 son of ZKCC Chopper 844U was exhibited by Mark Moriondo of Mount Vernon, Mo., and Samuel Wallace of Stotts City, Mo.

Big Star 112Z exhibited by Justin Willard of Reeds, Mo., won the title of Reserve Champion Senior Bull Calf. He is a Nov. 8, 2012 son of WAGR Dream Catcher 03R.

CMFM Heads Up won Champion Junior Bull for Circle M Farms of Rockwall, Texas. He is a May 5, 2012 son of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676. HS Star Force Z14U won Reserve Champion Junior Bull, exhibited by Logan Sigmon of Berryville, Ark. He is a Feb. 5, 2012 son of HS Work Force X427.

Percentage Simmental Bulls

The Grand Champion and Champion Percentage Senior Bull titles were awarded to ACW Ironhide 395Y. The May 25, 2011 son of Remington Lock N Load 54U was exhibited by Woodrow Cattle Company of Emporia, Kan. The Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Senior Bull titles were awarded to CRN Steel Force 178Y. The Sept. 8, 2011 son of SVF Steel Force S701 was exhibited by Casey Nail of Vinita, Okla., and Connors State College of Warner, Okla.

Mr SB Steel Curtain 314A received Champion Junior Bull Calf honors for Sisco Brothers Cattle Company of Syracuse, Neb. The Feb. 1, 2013 calf is a son of SVF Steel Force S701. CSC Cowboy On 306A received Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf honors. This March 24, 2013 son of OSU Cowboy Up 0631 was exhibited by Connors State College.

Flying H and Claire Silvers of Eldorado Springs, Mo., exhibited the Champion Senior Bull Calf, FHG Gold Standard 251Z. He is a Nov. 17, 2012 son of W/C Gold Club 634X. Merry Meadows Simmentals of St. Joseph, Mo., exhibited the Reserve Champion Senior Bull Calf, MOO Pooh Bear Z44X. He is a Dec. 4, 2012 son of Shoot Em Up 297X.
