American Royal Prospect Calf Show: Official Release

Riley Benda of Lamar, Mo., exhibited the Grand Champion Prospect Steer.

Champion Prospect Heifer honors went to Cody McCullough of Allerton, Iowa.

KANSAS CITY—Prospect calf exhibitors from five states competed for top honors in the prospect calf show on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Nolan Flesner of Colbert, Ga., evaluated the prospect calf entries in the American Royal Prospect Calf Show.

Riley Benda of Lamar, Mo., exhibited the Grand Champion Prospect Steer from class one. Reserve Grand Champion Prospect Steer honors went to Hankins Farms of Springfield, Mo., with their entry from class one.

Champion Prospect Heifer honors went to Cody McCullough of Allerton, Iowa with his class three heifer. From class two, Smith & Associates/Big Valley Cattle Company of Kiowa, Colo., received Reserve Campion Prospect Heifer.

The American Royal Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that has been a Kansas City tradition since 1899. Each year more than 270,000 people attend events at the American Royal Complex. In 2011, the Royal was able to give $1.4 million in scholarship and educational awards.
