American Royal Junior Market Lamb Show: Official Results

Grand Champion Market Lamb was exhibited by MacKenzie Fruchey of Fayette, Ohio.

Beth Zuber of Marengo, Iowa, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb.

 

 

KANSAS CITY – Junior lamb exhibitors from across the country competed for top honors during the American Royal Market Lamb Show held Saturday, Oct. 27, in Kansas City, Mo. Scott Greiner of Blackburg, Va. sorted through 331 entries.

Grand Champion Market Lamb was exhibited by MacKenzie Fruchey of Fayette, Ohio. Before winning the overall title, the 153-pound entry was first named champion crossbred. Beth Zuber of Marengo, Iowa, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb, which was earlier awarded reserve crossbred.

Caleb Streitmatter of Rensselaer, Ind., was named Champion Hampshire Market Lamb with his 142-pound entry. Shaylyn Price of Edgewood, N.M., exhibited the Reserve Champion Hampshire Market Lamb.

In the Suffolk division, Riley Wattonville of Huxley, Iowa, was selected as Champion with his 149-pound lamb. Jaclyn Dingels of Redwood Falls, Minn., exhibited the Reserve Champion Suffolk Market Lamb.

The American Royal Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that has been a Kansas City tradition since 1899. Each year more than 270,000 people attend events at the American Royal Complex. In 2011, the Royal was able to give $1.4 million in scholarship and educational awards.
