American Royal Heifer Showmanship: Official Release

KANSAS CITY—Junior heifer exhibitors from across the country gathered in Kansas City, Mo., to compete for top honors in the American Royal Heifer Showmanship Contest on Thursday, Nov. 1. Nate Kolterman of Seward, Neb., evaluated the showmen and selected Cagney Effling of Highmore, S.D., as the Overall Champion Heifer Showman. The Reserve Overall Champion Heifer Showman was Allyson Ottensmeier of Oskaloosa, Kan.

Division I Showmanship (9-12 years of age)

Champion: Grace Greiman of Goodwill, Iowa

Reserve: Brooke Hayden of Lowell, Ind.

Division II Showmanship (13-16 years of age)

Champion: Cagney Effling of Highmore, SD.

Reserve: Sydney Williams of Wisner, Neb.

Division III Showmanship (17-20 years of age)

Champion: Allyson Ottensmeier of Oskaloosa, Kan.

Reserve: Margaret Spencer of Gibbon, Neb.
