Junior Premium Livestock Auction
2009 Junior Premium Auction Sale Report>>
About the Auction
Each year hundreds of America’s youth between the ages of 9 and 20 travel from 39 states to Kansas City for a chance to compete at the American Royal Livestock Show.
These youth have worked all year to prepare their animals to be judged by top professional livestock judges.
Youth that exhibit prize-winning animals are eligible to participate in the Junior Premium Livestock Auction. At auction, the youth sell their champion livestock to raise funds to further their education.
WHO BENEFITS
Proceeds of the Auction directly benefit the youth exhibitors, who are focused in agriculture - our country’s backbone.
A portion of each sale is contributed to the American Royal to fund education programs and scholarships such as:
• Royal Service Scholars Program • Veterinary Scholarship Program • Agricultural Achievement Scholarships • The Royal Ten Scholarship Program
